Deposition in Salman's hit-and-run case today

An Indian court is expected to record the deposition of the witness in 2002 hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan.

Thursday is a very crucial day in the trial, reports NDTV.

The witnesses, who is a doctor with the State-run JJ Hospital, had collected the blood samples of Salman Khan after the incident.

The doctor had earlier sought police protection through Special Public Prosecutor Pradeep Gharat but did not given any reason for the request.

Later, the court asked him to make the request in writing.

Salman could be jailed for up to 10 years if he is found guilty in the case.

A person was killed and four others were injured when a car allegedly driven by the actor rammed into a bakery on September 28, 2002.
