Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu yesterday said the government would form a broadcast commission for television and radio within six months.
Speaking in parliament during a question and answer session, he said a committee to formulate the law on establishing a broadcast commission had been formed and that the Act is expected to be passed soon.
In reply to a question, the minister said: “We have published the gazette of the broadcast policy and it will take at least six months to consider everyone’s opinion.”
The cabinet approved the National Broadcast Policy last August.
