Police have recovered a bullet-riddled body of an outlawed leader of Purba Bangla Communist Party (PBCP) from Mohanpur village under Kotchandpur upazila in Jhenaidah.
The deceased is Nasir Uddin alias Debashis, 47, son of Liakat Ali of Talina village under the upazila.
Shahidul Islam Shahin, officer-in-charge of Kotchandpur police said: “Being informed, police recovered his body from a field in the morning. A bullet mark was spotted in Nasir’s chest. ”
He might have been killed over previous enmity, said the OC.
The body was sent to Jhenadah sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
Nasir was involved in criminal activities including robbery in Jhenaidah for last 15 years, added the police official.
