Police have detained 22 people including 13 BNP-Jamaat activists in a special drive in the district during countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
The law enforcers conducted the drive in the district from Saturday evening till Sunday morning, said Sunamganj Police Super Muhammad Harun-ur-Rashid.
He said: “They were detained in charges of carrying out violence. We will continue the drive to maintain law and order situation in the area.”
Case would be filed against the detainees in this connection, added the police official.
