The railway communications of Chittagong with other parts of the country have resumed after a five-hour suspension as a train derailment at Nagolkot in Comilla.
The communications on the routes resumed 10:40am on Saturday.
Senior Deputy Assistant Engineer (Laksham Rail Station) Liakat Ali Mazumder said: “Four wheels of the engine and two wheels of a bogie of Chittagong-bound Mohanogor Godhuli Express veered off the tracks at 4:45am.”
He said around 3-foot of the railway track had been cut off.
