Bangladesh Army emerged as the champions of the 23rd National Karate Championship bagging 10 gold, three silver and three bronze medals at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium yesterday.
Bangladesh Ansar finished runners-up winning six gold, four silver and three bronze medals while the third position was clinched by Bangladesh Police who grabbed one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder distributed the prizes as the chief guest. Karate federation president Mokhlesur Rahman was also present on the occasion.
