At least 30 people have sustained injuries in a triangular clash among the activists of the Awami League, the BNP and the law enforcers in the town on Monday.
Witnesses said the members of district Chhatra Dal brought out a protest procession in the town around 12 noon.
Later, they locked into a clash with the police as the law enforcers tried to foil their procession at Kalibari intersection area.
At one stage, the members of Awami League and its front organisations joined the clash, leaving some 30 people, including journalists, injured.
The members of the BNP and JCD exploded some 100 crude bombs during the clash, said the police.
