The Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned Petrobangla Director Zamil A Chowdhury and former managing director of Karnaphuli Gas Transmission Company Sanowar Hossain to face questioning on January 7 in connection with a recruitment scam.
Deputy Director Hrittik Saha sent two separate notices on Wednesday asking them to appear before the commission on that day.
They would be interrogated with regard to the allegation against former Petrobangla chairman Hossain Monsur of taking bribes in appointing 42 employees to 13 companies under the state-run agency.
The commission on December 23 interrogated three deputy general managers of Karnaphuli.
It is the third team working on the allegations against Monsur. The immediate past inquiry officer, Assistant Director Sheikh Abdus Salam, submitted report recommending filing of case against the former chairman and 11 officials of Petrobangla and Karnaphuli. But the ACC did not approve the report and formed the new probe team.
First inquiry officer Deputy Director Ahsan Ali was appointed by the commission on March 9. But he was sent to forced retirement.
