Father of ill-fated four-year old boy Jihad has filed a case against the owner of contractor firm AR Traders and a Railway official on allegation of negligence in duties.
The accused are Abdus Salam, owner of AR Traders; and Jahangir Alam, senior sub assistant engineer of Bangladesh Railway.
Jihad’s father Nasir Uddin filed the case with Shahjahanpur police station around 1am on Sunday, Officer-in-Charge Mehedi Hasan told the Dhaka Tribune.
Jihad was dead inside the abandoned 600-ft deep water pump pipe at capital's Shahjahanpur Railway Colony on Saturday afternoon, almost a full day (23 hours) after he fell into it.
The boy was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
According to the forensic report, Jihad died because of drowning in the water of the abandoned well.
