The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) yesterday awarded 17 of its members with medals for their outstanding contributions during peace time.
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari handed over the medals to 15 officers and two airmen in four different categories at Air Headquarters in the capital.
Five BAF officers were awarded with the ‘Distinguished Service Medal’ for their special contribution to the BAF and the nation for outstanding contributions.
Three BAF pilots were awarded with the “Glorious Flying Medal” for bravery, efficiency, and remarkable contribution in flying within the country and UN missions.
Three BAF officers and one airman were awarded with the “Air Excellence Medal” for their exceptional professionalism.
Four BAF officers and one airman were awarded with the “Air Efficiency Medal” for playing a vital role in developing the BAF as well as the country by merit, research work or undertaking an important role in any training or exercise of the force.
