Police have recovered the beheaded body of a 10-year-old boy after five days of his abduction from Deyanpara under Mahanpur upazila in Rajshahi.
Fazle Hossain Rabbi's body was recovered from a field early Friday. Rabbi went missing on December 20.
Later, Rabbi's father Ali Hossain filed a complaint with Mohanpur police station.
Abdul Hamid, officer-in-charge of Mahanpur police station, told the Dhaka Tribune: “We arrested three suspects following the complain on Wednesday.”
Arrestee Aminul Hossain, 30, Shahabuddin, 28, and Jahangir Hossain, 28, have been kept in Rajshahi jail.
The OC said: “On the basis of the information from the arrestees, we rescued Rabbi's body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College morgue for autopsy.”
He said Aminul had demanded Tk10 lakh from Ali as ransom on December 22.
