All the activities at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong have been disrupted for two hours due to power outage.
Wing commander Nur-e-Alam, manager of the airport, confirmed the incident to the Dhaka Tribune.
The internal power supply at the airport collapsed due to technical glitch around 6.20am on Wednesday, Nur said, adding power was restored around 8:20am.
During power outrage, the entire area of the airport plunged into darkness, bringing all activities at the airport to a halt.
The manager said a flight of Oman Air Lines from Mascot was scheduled to reach the airport at 8:20am. But, it landed at the airport at 8:42am.
However, there was no flight schedule during the power disruption, he added.
“We are looking into the reasons behind the matter,” said Nur-e-Alam.
