Thirty shops, including godowns, have been gutted in a fire that broke out at Khwaza Market in Feni.
Locals said the fire broke out at a shop in Konabari Natunbazar area and soon engulfed the nearby shops and godowns around 10:30am on Tuesday.
The shop owners claimed a loss of Tk1.5 lakh in the incident.
Fire House Inspector Mohammad Mahmudul Hoque said: “On information, a unit of the fire service went to the spot and brought the blaze under control after an hour of frantic effort.”
