The dawn to dust hartal in Noapara enforced by a local Songram Committee protesting the killing of the Councilor of Noapara and also joint secretary of the Abhaynagar upazila unit of Awami League is underway peacefully.
The members of Songram Committee and the local people staged demonstration since Monday morning.
All kinds of vehicles remained off the streets.
No untoward incident was reported till filing of the report around 1:57pm.
Additional police have been deployed in the area to avoid untoward situation.
On November 23, Waliar Rahman was gunned down by miscreants.
