Dhaka Premier Table Tennis League side Arunima recruited a French paddler named Swarz while all the five teams who have roped in foreign players, opted for Indian recruits in the ongoing league.
Among the eight premier division outfits, Armanitola and Ajax refrained from recruiting any overseas players. Defending champions Sheikh Russel brought in Arnab Adhikari, Ciciron flew in Sourav Sen Gupta, Dhaka Mariners signed Sourav Sen Gupta, Wari relied on Snehomoy Ganguly, and last year’s runners-up Palolik kept their faith on Niten Singh. Arunima also inserted Indian player Shuvom Kundo who retuned to India for his training commitment.
Meanwhile, Abahani beat Jahangir Builders in the Women’s League at Paltan Ground wooden-floor gymnasium yesterday.
