Mahfujur Rahman Tushar, the lone Formula 4 circuit car racer of the country, finished 12th among 22 participants in the 17th JK Tyre Racing Championship at Noida Buddha International Racing Circuit in New Delhi last Sunday.
Sponsored by Shah Cement, Tushar had said he was expecting a top 10 finish but was, however, unable to continue his tempo throughout the race. “It was a tough race. The track was wet due to rain. It was foggy also. I completed the 5.5-kilometre, 16-turn and eight-lap race in 18 minutes and 11 seconds. Two pilots also competed in the race and they finished behind me. I gained valuable experience this time and hope I will continue to improve.” Tushar finished 15th last year.
