A stone-laden trawler has capsized in Padma River. It sank after a ferry hit it at Louhajong turning point on the Mawa-Kawrakandi route.
BIWTC Shimulia ghat manager Sirajul Haq said the incident took place around 9am on Saturday.
“Tugboat Belgium was pulling ferry Thobal. The trawler was hit at that time.”
All the labourers managed to swim ashore, Mawa naval police camp in-charge SI Yunus Ali said.
