Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway. The performance was held in Oslo where Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai received the Nobel Peace Prize 2014 on Wednesday.

The three maestros visited Bangladesh during the Bengal Classical Music Festival 2014 to perform sarod. After their performance Ayaan Ali Khan had an interview with the Dhaka Tribune where he talked about the opportunity to perform in the great platform of Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.

Ayaan told the Dhaka Tribune: “It’s so beautiful that there’s one Nobel laureate from Pakistan, who requested Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and one from India, Kailash Satyarthi, who requested my father. It’s quite a big honour for us.” Before the performance, Ayaan said: “We all are thrilled to perform alongside Queen Latifah, Steven Tyler, Bolly Flex and Laura Mvula. We are presenting a piece called Raga for Peace. We plan to give a flavour of India through our music.” Through their performance the trio spread the message of peace, harmony and non-violence with a special 'Raga For Peace' conceived for the occasion. Pakistani Qawwali singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said: "I am performing here to wish both countries best of luck.”
