Ekattorer Khudiram to be released this month

“Ekattorer Khudiram,” a children’s film based on the Liberation War, will be released this month as it received the censor board certificate on Sunday.

Mannan Hira, the film’s director, said: “I hope we will be able to release the film this month. I had plans to release it before December 16, on the occasion of Victory Day. But, there is some post-production work left that requires more time. But I believe we will be able to hold the film’s premiere by the fourth week of this month.

“We are also thinking of releasing the film out of the country. Several cinemas in India have shown interest to screen it. But it has yet to be finalised,” he added.

He said “Ekattorer Khudiram” received uncut censorship from the censor board. Produced by Epic, the film’ story revolves around a chain of events at a district town in March 1971.
