Two people have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Habiganj highway at Sutang area under Sadar upazila in Habiganj.
The deceased are truck driver Abu Bakkar, 30, son of Shahar Ali, and his helper Rakib Hasan Rony, 25, son of Abdul Kuddus. Both are hailed from CNB para of Sadar upazila in Chuadanga.
Officer-in-Charge of Highway police station Ejajur Rahman said: “A Dhaka-bound truck collided head-on with a stationed truck in the area on Wednesday morning.
The driver and the helper of the Dhaka-bound truck died on the spot, he added.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Habiganj sadar hospital morgue.
