Minister Mohsin 'sleeps on stage' again

The latest to his credentials, Social Welfare Minister Mohsin Ali once again "sleeps on stage."

The minister was found asleep just after singing a song that provoked laughter among the audience, instead enchanting.

He was the chief guest in the programme to mark the fourth anniversary of the proposed Khairunnesa Medical College and Hospital at the Munsiff quarter on Saturday.

Earlier, he sang a song, inducing spates of laughter among the audience, noticing which he assured his was not a love song, rather a song of socialism.

Meanwhile, he drove away the photographers who wanted to have a snap, and went back to stage for habitual smoking.

His fellow activists formed a human shield against the photographers so that they could not take a photo of the "smoking minister."

The minister was even sleeping when the special guest to the programme and local MP AKM Baharuddin Bahar was saying “Bangabandhu woke up people, like Mao Ze Dong.”

The MP also called for people to keep awake and undertake the responsibility of keeping the nation awake.

However, this was not his first time he felt asleep during any occasion. Mohsin Ali in the past hit the headlines several times, once by smoking in front of school children in a ceremony and in another time by scolding journalists in another public gathering.
