A person has been killed and 12 others have been injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Motha Chora area under Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong.
The deceased is Babla, 48.
Jowarganj highway police outpost Sergeant Mehedi Hassan said: “Babla died on the spot when the buses of Shahi and Choice Paribahans collided with each other around 11am on Tuesday.”
He said: “The injured have been admitted to different hospitals. Out of the injured, three are in critical condition.”
Baro Awlia highway police outpost Officer-in-Charge Jakir Hossian said: “The vehicular movement in the area had been halted for 20 minutes due to the accident.”
