Students of Islamic University in Kushtia have staged violent protests following the death of a student.
The angry students vandalised and set fire to several buses. They also locked in a clash with the police in the campus.
Touhidur Rahman Titu, a third year student of Biotechnology department, died after he was caught between two buses on the campus on Sunday morning.
Following the death, the students also blocked Kushtia-Jhenidah highway.
Later, the university authorities declared it closed for an indefinite period following violent protests after the death of the student.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the IU syndicate.
