A new committee of the Bogra Bar Association has been elected for the term of 2015 on Friday.
Rezaul Karim Mantu, was elected as the president and Makbul Hossain Mukul as the general secretary.
In the election, Sammilita Ainjibi Samanyaya Parishad, the panel supported by the ruling mega alliance, secured six posts, including vital ones of president and secretary.
While the panel supported by the anti-government parties, Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya, acquired seven posts in the election. A total of 26 candidates ran in the 13-post election, one from each panel for a post.
Tanzim Al Misbah, of Sammilita Ainjibi Samanyaya Parishad, won the election vying for the social welfare secretary defeating his opponent by 60 votes, in an election where 622 out of 641 members voted.
The previous committee led by Abdul Matin and Naresh Mukharjee has congratulated the new committee.
The voting took place in the Gawhar Ali Building in Bogra Bar.
