Tight security measures have been taken in and around tribunal area ahead of the verdict in the war crimes case against expelled Awami League leader Mobarak Hossain.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel were also seen along with police in the tribunal area on Monday morning.
An adequate number of law enforcers have been kept deployed to avert any untoward incident centring the verdict.
Ramna Zone Assistant Commissioner Shibli Noman said: “We have taken same type of security measures which we took in the case of other verdicts.”
“However, we have kept the road open in front of the tribunal keeping in mind the traffic situation but it is under surveillance,” he said.
The first International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) will pronounce the verdict in the war crimes case against Mobarak Hossain for the alleged crimes committed against humanity in 1971 Liberation War.
