The verdict on alleged Razakar commander Mobarak Hossain is set to be delivered on Monday.
A three-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal 1 headed by Justice M Enayetur Rahim fixed the date on Sunday morning.
On June 2, tribunal 1 kept the case CAV, meaning 'verdict would be delivered later.'
On May 20, the defence closed their factual arguments.
The tribunal indicted Mobarak on five charges of crimes against humanity
The prosecution ended their closing arguments on May 19, seeking death for the war crimes accused for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.
On April 23 last year, the tribunal indicted Mobarak on five charges of crimes against humanity.
The charges against Mobarak include the killing of 33 people in Akhaura, the torturing of Ashuranjan Deb at a razakar camp, and abductions and killings in Shyampur committed between August and December 1971.
Khodeja Begum, daughter of martyr Abdul Khaleque who was an Ansar member, filed a case with a Brahmanbaria court in 2009. The case was later transferred to the tribunal.
According to the charge sheet, after the war Mobarak was a member of the Jamaat-e-Islami’s union unit in Akhaura, he joined the Awami League but was expelled from the party two years ago.
