Miscreants have hacked a fish trader to death in Erarda Baor area of Jhaodia village under Jessore sadar upazila.
The deceased is Shahidul Islam, 45, son of Abul Hossain of the village.
Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Enamul Haque said locals informed police after they had noticed Shahidul's body in Erarda Baor area around 7am on Tuesday.
"We are suspecting that Shahidul might have been killed following previous enmity," said the OC.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
