DU admission seekers to observe fast-unto-death

The Dhaka University admission seekers, who have been staging demonstrations on the campus, will observe a fast-unto-death programme at Central Shaheed Minar from Wednesday.

The protesting students made the announcement in a press conference at Modhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Tuesday afternoon.

They will also submit a memorandum to the chancellor of the university on Wednesday seeking the restoration of the system that allowed them to appear twice in the admission test.

Md Salman Khan, who passed HSC examination from Kabi Kazi Nazrul Government College, read the written statement in the press conference.

On October 13, the university authorities announced implementing the order from the next academic session, triggering an outcry among the students who have failed to be qualified in the university this year.
