Two financial institutions and one specialised bank got their new chairmen yesterday.
The two are Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation while the one is Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) got new chairman.
The Bank and Financial Institutions Division yesterday appointed the three new chairmen for the state-run three institutions, a circular of the division said.
Mujib Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Tourism and Hospitality Department of Dhaka University, has been appointed as chairman and director of ICB until further notice.
At the same time, Kazi Shafiqul Azam, additional secretary of Economic Relations under the Division of Finance Ministry, has been exempted from the post of chairman of ICB.
Bangladesh Commerce Bank Former Managing Director Shaikh Amin Uddin Ahmed has been entrusted with the job of chairman and director of Bangladesh House Building and Finance Corporation until further notice.
Bangladesh House Building and Finance Corporation Former chairman Yasin Ali has been made chairman and director of BDBL.
The circular suggests taking necessary measure as per Bangladesh Bank rule.
