She has already been honored with National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year award. Every year it honours ten individuals from around the world under different categories.
It is the National Geographic's second category of award- People's Choice Award- in which your vote matters for Wasfia.

Wasfia is the second Bangladeshi woman who conquered the world's highest peak, Mount Everest.
In 2011, Wasfia, who is also a writer, had taken up the challenge of climbing the highest mountains of each of the seven continents in celebration of 40 years of independence of Bangladesh and women's progress.
