Two vegetable traders have been killed when a truck ran over them in Bahubal area in Habiganj.
The deceased are Shundor Ali, 50, of Shombhopur village and Shukur Ali, 52, of Guchhopur.
Shayestaganj highway police Sub-Inspector Kamal Hossain said: “A truck ran over them when they were going to Bahubal Bazar on Wednesday afternoon, killing Shundor on the spot.”
“Shukur succumbed to his injuries while being taken to Sylhet Medical College Hospital,” he said.
The SI said though the truck has been seized, the driver managed to flee from the scene.
