Jennifer Lopez admits that before she went her separate ways with Hollywood star Ben she had no idea how it really felt to suffer that much pain as a result of love—despite having already been married twice.
Jennifer, 45, then agrees with her and points out that it was hard to realise the relationship was not right because she just needed the support he offered her so badly at the time.
She said: “It was probably my first big heartbreak, and to have one of my best friends who I’d known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, ‘I’m here’...What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you. Only you can do that for you.”
And following her split from dancer boyfriend Casper Smart earlier this year Jennifer is adamant that she now just wants to take some time out from dating and discover more about herself before she shares her life with another man.
She added: “I’m open to love. But right now, I think it’s better to just be on my own for a minute and learn more about myself.”
