An Awami League leader has been killed as a speedy-driven truck ran over him in Tangail's Ghatail on Saturday morning.
The deceased is Mokbul Hossain, 60, president of Sandhanpur ward unit Awami League.
Fazlul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station, said: “A speedy-driven truck rammed his bicycle down near Kusharia bus stand area on Ghatail-Shagor Doghi road in the morning, while he was crossing the road, leaving him dead on the spot.”
