Five years after its muhurat – official announcement of a film’s shooting – the film titled “Eito Prem” starring Bindu and Shakib Khan is all set to hit cinemas on February 13, 2015.
Sohel Arman, the fim’s director, confirmed that the film would be released at the cinemas on the first day of Falgun.
When asked why it took so long to finish the film, the director said: “We had to take time to get schedules from the cast.”
The news has come at the time when Bindu, who recently tied the knot with businessman Asif Salahuddin Malik, announced that she would draw an end to her career in showbiz in favour of her marriage.
Earlier in an interview with the Dhaka Tribune, Bindu talked about working in the film. “It was one of the most difficult yet enjoyable periods of my life,” she said. “The shooting continued for well over three years. My role in the film demanded that I keep the same hairstyle, weight and maintain a steady appearance. Therefore, I could not change my hairstyle for three years straight.
“It was demanding, to say the least. The storyline is touching as it recalls the glorious Liberation War of our country. It portrays the struggle and determination of our freedom fighters,” said.
Produced by Shaheen Kabir, the film also features Ramendu Majumder, Shahiduzaman Selim and Afroza Banu. Composed by popular musician Habib, the song “Ami Tomar Moner Bhitor Ekbar Ghurey Ashtey Chai” from the film was released almost four years ago and it was a big hit. The director hopes that the film would surpass the popularity of the song.
Bindu has kept herself away from the small screen for over a year. She has worked in three films so far, including Toukir Ahmed’s “Daruchini Dwip,” Khijir Hayat Khan’s “Jaago” and PA Kajol’s “Piriter Agun Jole Digun.”
