Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque is about to end his 67-year bachelor life - he gets married today.
The wedding will be held in the bride’s own village Mirakhula in Chandina upazila of the district. The groom’s procession, scheduled to reach Comilla around 2pm, will start from his Bailey Road residence around 11am.
Six ministers and more than 50 lawmakers are expected to join in.
Arrangements have been made for a total of 1,500 guests, said Lutfur Reza Khokan, a Jatiyo Party leader.
