Model and actress Jannatul Ferdoush Peya yesterday said she got a call from an unknown person threatening to leak private photos of her containing nudity.
In a post on her personal Facebook page, she wrote: “Well, I got a threat from this no 01854xxxxxx. I want to say, you bastard’s threat will run after you like a shadow. Do not try to mess up with me you cockroach!!!!!!”
The actress did not file any complaint against the caller who, she said, identified himself as Antu. When Dhaka Tribune approached her following the post, she said: “I will report the incident to the police if the caller persists in calling and threatening.”
“It has become a growing part of the girls’ lives to receive such calls. I used to get prank calls when I was relatively less known, but for the first time I got a call from someone using such intimidation tactic. I am surprised that someone could make such a threat in the first place.”
About the basis of the said photos, she said, “I am confident that no such photos exist. It’s plain harassment based on nothing.”
Former Miss Bangladesh 2007 Jannatul Ferdoush Peya, who made her Dhallywood debut with “Chorabali” in 2012, is currently busy with a number of film projects opposite the leading heroes of the industry. The drop-dead gorgeous Peya has recently signed for two films with Emon, titled “Prothom Dekha” and “Romance in America.”
