Imran: Laggard tribunal process spare war criminals

The slow process of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is allowing the heinous war criminals to be spared from their punishment, Gonojagoron Moncho spokesperson Imran H Sarkar has said.

He was addressing at a press conference at Shahbagh in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

Imran mentioned that two convicted war criminals – Ghulam Azam and Abdul Alim – died during their period of punishment.

The slow process of the ICT will be an impediment for the other war criminals to face their executions.

Imran also questioned, how the government allowed holding the namaz-e-janaja of the convicted war criminal and the Jamaat guru, Ghulam Azam at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital.

Gonojagoron Moncho has inaugurated a photo exhibition of the heinous crimes of Ghulam Azam on Saturday that will continue on till October 27.
