The Bangladesh government will start the verification process of the nationals who were arrested and kept in different detention centres in Thailand on October 28.
Foreign Minister Secretary (bilateral) Mustafa Kamal made the disclosure at a press briefing on Friday morning.
He said "We will start verifying the detainees step by step. Some 118 Bangladeshis are now staying in five to six detention centres.”
“The authorities in Thailand have allowed consular access to 30 people in the first phase,” he said.
Earlier, some 134 people rescued in two groups, out of which 118 people claimed to be Bangladeshi citizens.
