The admission test of both government and private medical colleges for the academic session 2014-15 has been held smoothly on Friday.
Professor ABM Abdul Hannan, director for medical education and manpower development at the Directorate General for Health Services told the Dhaka Tribune: “The admission test ended smoothly at 35 examination centres across the country around 11am.”
“No irregularities or unpleasant incident occured during the intake examination.”
A total of 69,477 candidates have appeared in the admission test for both public and private medical and dental colleges today.
Public and private medical and dental colleges have a total of 9,623 seats, with 3,708 at 28 public medical colleges and nine dental colleges.
The exam was held at 35 centres of 22 public medical colleges and one dental college.
The Health Ministry earlier formed 23 inspection committees comprised of senior officials in a bid to monitor irregularities during the exam.
