A farmer has been killed and five others have been injured in a land dispute in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj district.
The deceased is Ratan Mia, 45, son of Mahtab Mia of Purba Purura village in Katiadi.
Local sources said Ratan Mia and his neighbour Nuru Mia had a long standing dispute over land boundaries.
Folloing the matter, they locked into a clash with locally made weapons around 11am on Thursday, leaving Ratan dead on the spot and injuring the others.
Of the injured, three were taken to Katiadi upazila health complex.
Katiadi police station Officer-in-Charge Hedayatul Islam Bhuiyan said police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
He said the body was sent to Kishoreganj modern sadar morgue for autopsy.
