District Road Transport Workers’ Union has enforced an indefinite bus strike in the district on Tuesday morning, halting communications of the district with the whole country.
District Road Transport Workers’ Union General Secretary Kanchon Mia made the announcement of the indefinite bus strike in the district.
Locals said the indefinite strike has been enforced centering a conflict between two rival groups of the District Road Transport Workers’ Union over the voter list of the transport workers' Union's poll.
The announcement came after two groups of workers engaged in a chase and counter chase near the District Road Transport Workers’ Union’s office in Ekrampur on Monday night.
