Bangladesh Road Transport Workers’ Unity Council, Sylhet unit has enforced an indefinite bus, minibus and microbus strike from 6am on Sunday demanding realisation of its five-point demand.
Salim Ahmed Falik, chairman of the transport organisation confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the matter.
The strike will be continued if our demands are not met, he warned.
The demands are decreasing corruption at BRTA office; harassment of police; setting up grill at CNG run auto-rickshaws; rebuilding rundown Sylhet-Tamabil road and mitigating transport related cases at Sylhet instead of Sayestagang, Hobiganj.
