Vocta urges to use non-chemical farming foods

The Voluntary Consumers Training and Awareness Society (Vocta) has urged the farmers, consumers and buyers to use organic food.

Vocta is a non-profit voluntary organisation, which works in aim to protect and promote the rights and interests of the consumers.

It organised campaign programmes at Madhabdi, Hasnabad, Narsingdi Borobazar, Hossin Market, BK Bazar and Banana Market area under Narsingdi to popularise the organic and non-chemical food in Bangladesh.

It also organised farmers' rally and view exchanging programmes with the buyers and consumers of those area and distributed leaflets among the people to create awareness on non-chemical food items.

A press release signed by Vocta's Executive Director Khalilur Rahman Sajal said Vocta leaders discussed about the negative impacts of chemical farming and uses of chemical-mixed food items.

At the same time the usefulness of using organic fertilizers in the crop fields and taking organic foods were also discussed during the campaign.

They said using non-organic farming foods may cause cancer and heart disease for the users. It also damages the useful natural lives. So, everybody should take organic foods to save their lives.

Vocta's Executive Director Khalilur Rahman Sajal, central leaders Saidul Abedin Dollar, Mizanur Rahman Talukdar, Fazlul Haue, Meherul Haque and Puthi artist Kabbyo Kamrul took part in the campaign.
