A mobile court sealed off an illegal oil and energy drink factory in the Bhabanipur area, Gazipur yesterday.
The mobile court also filed separate cases against the factories and seized a huge amount of adulterated raw materials used in oil production.
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Bijen Banarjee said acting on a tip off, they had conducted a drive at the factories which had been producing oil and energy without taking approval from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution.
Apart from filing cases against owner of the factories Saraf Uddin and Morshed Alam, the mobile court fined them Tk1,000 each.
