DU stops opportunity to sit twice in intake test

Students will not get the opportunity to appear twice for the intake examinations of Dhaka University from the 2015-16 academic session. The authority of Dhaka University has taken decision at a meeting of its Central Admission Committee on Tuesday with Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Arefin Siddique in the chair.

'Law enforcers to investigate suspicious transactions'

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan has said the law enforcing agencies will investigate suspicious transactions of any organisation following the information by Bangladesh Bank. The minister made the statement while addressing the fourth meeting of National Committee on Militancy Resistance and Prevention held in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

Sachin arrives in Dhaka

Retired Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has arrived at the capital on Tuesday morning on a one day-visit on the invitation of private sports club ‘Legends of Rupganj’ formerly known as Gazi Tank Cricketers. The 49th convocation of Dhaka University will be held on January 13, DU Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman has said. The decision was taken by the university syndicate following the recommendation of Dhaka University Academic Council.
