State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan has said the law enforcing agencies will investigate suspicious transactions of any organisation following the information by Bangladesh Bank.
The minister made the statement while addressing the fourth meeting of National Committee on Militancy Resistance and Prevention held in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
He said: “If Bangladesh Bank informs about the suspicious transactions of any organisation then the law enforcing agencies will investigate it to see if there is any involvement of militancy with the matter.”
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmood Khandker and chiefs of different law enforcing agencies were present in the meeting.
The minister said: “The militancy cases have to be dissolved fast in order to stop such activities.”
Regarding Bardhaman bomb blasts, he said: “We have heard about what has been published in the India newspapers but India has not informed us officially about the matter through Bangladesh ambassador.”
“If anyone talks in Bangla, it does not mean that he is a Bangladeshi. We are looking into the matter,” he added.
