A Narayanganj court has served show cause notice to the district jail authority for failing to produce former RAB officer Tarek Sayeed before the court in the seven murder case.
Narayanganj Session Judicial Magistrate KM Mohiuddin passed the order on Monday afternoon.
The court also asked all the arrestees in Narayanganj killing case to appear before it on December 1.
District Lawyers Association President Advocate Shakhawat Hossain said: “All the arrestees were scheduled to appear before the court on Monday. Out of 24 arrestees, some 21 appeared before the court.”
He said one of them was absent because of illness while the last arrestee in the case Ruhul Amin was on remand.
However, the jail authority did not show any reasons for Tarek's absence.
NCC panel mayor, along with six others was abducted on April 27. Later, their bodies were found floating in River Shitalakkhya on April 30.
