Train services have resumed in Dhaka-Chittagong, Dhaka-Sylhet routes after two hours halt.
On Sunday morning, two bogies of an intercity train have derailed near at Talshohor junction under Ashuganj upazila in Brahmanbaria.
Md Mainul Haque, assistant station master of Brahmanbaria railway station, said: “Two bogies of Dhaka-bound Upakul Express snapped in the double track near Talshohor junction around 11:20am.”
This derailment compelled Dhaka-bound Subarna Express to stay at Brahmanbaria railway station, Kalni Express at Paghachon junction and Chittagong-bound Mahanagar Pravati at Bhairab Bazar junction, he added.
The official said Mahanagar Pravati left from Bhairab Bazar junction for Chittagong around 2pm.
