A college student was killed and four others were injured in a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a pickup van at Bhabaniganj under sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Abu Jahed Anik, a first year student of Lakshmipur Government College.
Lakshmipur sadar police station Sub-Inspector Zillur Rahman said a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a pickup van in front of Chowdhury Bari around 8:30pm on Thursday, leaving Anik dead on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were admitted to Lakshmipur sadar hospital.
