Sirajganj 3 constituency MP Alhaj Ishaque Hossain Talukdar has died of cardiac arrest at the age of 68.
Tarash upazila Awami League general secretary Sanjit Karmakar said: "MP Ishaque has been suffering from Asthma since a long time. He fell sick at his residence in the evening."
He died on way to Bogra for treatment, said the AL leader.
The body of MP Ishaque was kept at a nursing home of Bogra.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim expressed his condolence at the death of the ruling party lawmaker.
